Ismet Saygu

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Dr. Ismet Saygu is a marine ecosystem modeller in Geography, the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy at the University of Exeter.

His expertise is in ecosystem-based management and modelling impacts of anthropogenic stressors on marine ecosystem, such as fisheries, invasive species, and
ocean warming, using Ecopath with Ecosim. In addition, he is deeply interested in marine conservation issues.


Saygu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Marine Ecosystem Modelling within this project. He is actively engaged in Ecopath with Ecosim modelling to describe
how marine ecosystems appeared thousands of years ago and to quantify the impact of major cultural transition
