Christof Pearce
Associate Professor
Christof is an Associate Professor in Paleoclimatology and Paleoceanography based at the Department of Geoscience of Aarhus University in Denmark.
His research focuses on reconstructing the climate of the past using marine sediment cores as natural archives. Christof specializes in geochronological methods, various core scanning and imaging techniques, and the use of different proxies including micropaleontology, and lipid biomarkers.
In SEACHANGE, Christof is involved in Work Package 1, where changes in marine ecosystems and the natural environment are investigated across the Mesolithic-Neolithic transition in Denmark. This is done through analyses of existing and newly retrieved marine sediment cores from Danish waters that cover the Early – Mid Holocene.
